being a lover of JD, i have saved a 2010 (diesel) from the scrap pile....the motor was frozen. after removal and tear down i found that number 1 @ 2 cyc are frozen. the bottom is in super shape.looks like some one left the exhaust uncovered....
what i am looking for is (new set liners, pistons) the hard stuff i think.....
then i'll do mains and rods, complete gasket set. maybe a manual with spc.
if i cannot get a new liner, is it possable to bore the liner. i found that the eng. ID tag is missing. i think i found the serial under the instrument panel by the throttle rod.(T18103)? looked on top of the flywheel and found nothine.
is this to much to ask on my 1st post....
this is my first project as i start my retirement and over all the 2010 in good shape
i have a 2210 that is my pride and joy, really saves my broken back .
thanks ken withee

Welcome to the board. I know others will chime in with opinions and help on your 2010. We all took the plunge at some point and have learned a lot from the collective wisdom on this site. Good luck with you new project.

money whats that ?
You should stop right now if you are going to worry about money, This is what is going to happen. One thing will lead to another, then another and it may stop or it may not. If you just if you want a toy to mess around with that by most of the guys will atest to, you will spend thousands on your dozer...JUST A FACT. My $ 2500 1010 is well over $13000. ,if I were trying to sell it...maybe someone out there would give $6500 if I'm lucky. We warned you, but I will tell you it sure is fun when they work right !!! GOOD LUCK RANDY R[/list]
