I'M LATE ON THIS TOO BUT YOU CAN TAKE A COMPRESSION CHECK BY REMOVING THE INJCTORS ONE AT A TIME AND JUMPING THE REMOVED FUEL LINES TO KEEP THE FUEL FLOWING . YOU NEED A SPECIAL COMPRESSION GAUGE FROM DETROIT DIESEL (VERY EXPENSIVE UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE REPAIR BUSINESS) USE THE INJECTOR HOLD DOWN CLAMP TO HOLD DOWN THE COMPRESSION GAUGE AND START THE ENGINE, REPEAT FOR SECOND CYLINDER. RUN AT IDLE TILL GAUGE STOPS BUILDING PRESSURE. DEPENDING ON IF YOU HAVE AN "N" ENGINE OR OLDER LOWER COMPRESSION ENGINE WHAT YOUR MIN/MAX COMPRESSION SHOULD BE (SEE REPAIR MANUEL) RECLAMP INJECTORS AN TOURQE 10-12 FT LBS-- BE SURE TO WIPE OUT INJECTOR HOLE WHEN INJECTOR IS REMOVED AS CARBON WILL BE ON TIP OF INJECTOR AND CAN BE RAKED OFF AS IT IS REMOVED.
