Hello there Labrador Tractor, Nice looking project you have there,Labrador_tractor wrote:found the measurement in my book after, its .003-.007" of end play. so I guess I need new bearings to!
I am also here in the BIG LAND, in Goose Bay. currently in the process of rebuilding a 1010C, slow going but will get there some day.
noticed that your Right track (as viewed from rear) is on backwards ya may want to rectify this also.. are there many older John Deere Crawlers located in your area. I only now of 1 up your way,It belongs to the Gentleman that owns radiator repair shop...
ALL THE BEST

good to see another member from the big land! good eye on the track, not sure how I never noticed it on mine but yet I noticed it on my buddys 40c the other day.
I know bob quite well along with his 1010, I used to work for him at the rad shop back in 09/10. as for crawlers around here there is bobs 1010, my buddy has 2 350B's one is 6 way blade dozer the other is a traxcavator with a hoe on the back, I have another good freind with a 420c aswell and theres my 420.
that said now there is a number of crawlers in the woods abandoned by drillers many years ago but no one that knew there locations is around/ alive any more, there is two 420's in a shed with parts somewhere in the woods, theres a 420 buried in fermont by the qcm mine , another 420 and a oliver in the woods close to my town , one in the woods by a campground. and there is more I just cant remember them all.
