Ok guys I'm new here and im in need of some help I have a 40 that's getting the best of me I bought it with a locked down motor I tore it down had it bored 45 over and rebuilt it totally went through it rebuilt the carb it runs and idels great but it has no power it will barly pull its self in 2 gear valves are set at 12 thousands like the book says I'm think I have governor problems. Any help would be great.

Does the gov. open when you start to lug? Might be lack of fuel--check for restrickion before carb. Might be timing. Good luck. gregjo 1948
