looking for parts for a jd straight 450 dozer

Post by Bro.Greg » Sat Feb 09, 2013 6:00 pm

I am in need of a solution to a parts problem. I need a new turbo intake boot for my jd 450 (straight 450) dozer. The part # is T30204. John deere dealer says it was manifactured by good year and no longer avaliable. Any ideas? Mine is shot.

Thanks
Greg

Bro. Greg,
You've got to be a Preacher or at least a Deacon with a handle like that!! And you are from Arkansas!! No offense as I am just up the ridge from you in MO.
You may find the part you need from "Zimmerman Tractor" here in MO. They are located in Versailles and the number is ( 573-378-7210 ) They are a salvage parts dealer that have a lot of "New" old stock parts. They also have a salvage operation.
Your other option would be to check with some of your local parts stores for Rubber elbows made for intakes and some radiator coolant systems. I had to fabricate my own air intake system for my JD 1520 as those parts are no longer available as well.
If this doesn't help then let us know, I'm sure there are other places in the country that may have what you need. Some of these other 450 guys may have one laying around.
40 plus years working on JD 350s, 400Gs, 450s and other equipment both Ag and Construction.

yes sir I'm a preacher. My wife and I live in arkansas on our farm. That is a good sugestion. I'll go by the big truck shop to see if I can get some 90 reducers and build the intake tube. thanks for your help LeonardL.
