Anybody in the upper midwest have a working winch that would bolt up to a 1010, for sale?
Thanks
Jim

Cheap winch alternative.
Harbor freight has a 12,000 lb winch on sale for $299??
I'm using an older HF 8000 lb winch on mine. Already bought the 2" square reciever channel from HF to weld on top of the rear bar. Will hook up a deep cycle marine battery and run a line from the alternator to keep it charged.
My winch is mounted on a HF winch reciever platform 3/8 steel with 3/8" thick square tube welded to the bottom 1 1/2 " X 1 1/2" stock.
Makes for easy connection to my truck reciever, the dozer reciever , or, my trailer tongue reciever .
An added Plus is a 15' wired winch remote .."just in case" LOL
It's better to seek forgivness than to ask for permission...

I always wondered how a electric winch would work on a crawler. I would of thought that the gearmatic (hydraulic) winches where rated for somewhere around 20-30 tons or so. I would be really interested how it works out!

I'll let you know hopefully in a month or to.
It won't match a 20 or 30 ton gearmatic though...LOL
I mainly want it if I get stuck...
