Hello,
I'm assuming this is the same 430 that had pictures posted on
Yesterdays Tractors. If it is then my comments will be based on what
I saw there.Snow pads look better than most you see.The barrel bung
appears to be missing from the left front of the reverser. If it has been
off for an extended period then water is in the housing for sure. That
isn't a problem if the reverser internals have been gutted. There is some
weird thing going on with the left steering clutch housing as the top
area has been modified.Without some decent close up shots of the tracks
it will be hard for anyone here to say whats needed there. If the machine is in a salvage yard it may have some serious issues that can't be
determined just by visual inspection.420 and 430 series have many
interchangable parts but there are some which are unique to 430
and late 420 machines. This machine needs to be saved but be aware
that crawlers are a hell of a lot harder and expensive to restore or
refurbish than wheel tractors.JMHO,Luck,JimAnderson
