Simple 440ICD Questions
First question: How hot should the hydraulic fluid get when running these? This is a 602 blade and just doing a little pushing the fluid get pretty warm. Warm enough to the point that the outside of the lift cylinders are pretty warm to the tough.
Second question: How do I get the throttle tightened up to the point where it doesn't work itself back down? I have to hold my hand on the throttle to keep it at full throttle. I've tightened the bolt that holds the throttle lever on and a bolt on the governor. When I run it at full throttle I notice that it's pulling on the governor spring some. I adjusted everything per the manual but maybe I'm missing something.
I'm loving pushing dirt with this thing. It's impressive how I can start pushing at 3/4 throttle in 2nd gear and just rolled the throttle to full and the engine revs right up, no bog down or anything.

The oil will get hot, more so the more you are moving the blade.
My guess would be your friction washers are bad, or gone in the throttle assembly.

Until you get the friction washers and have the time and joy of trying to get the handle off; you can always hook a tarp strap or bungee cord to the throttle handle. Slide it up the handle for higher revs. Gil

Thanks for the help guys.
Lavoy I didn't figured you'd carry something like that and had the parts ordered before I saw your post. I got the friction washers, I was giving them the wrong part number.
Another question:
What is the proper way to wire in the electric water temp. gauge that the diesel has?
I looked at my service manual but it's for the gas and I don't think the gas and diesel used the same gauge. I could be wrong, but if someone could look at their diesel that has the correct gauge and let me know how it's wired I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
