Howdy gang,
My 93 backhoe's biggest hydraulic leaks are in the stabilizer cylinders. When I got it, the rods were rusty and, despite my initial efforts to smooth out the rusty spots, the rod seals leak pretty badly now. I have removed the cylinders and disassembled one of them. Both the rod and piston seals consist of a mysterious stack of fabric-looking rings of stuff.
Is there a replacement seal kit for these cylinders?
Suggestions?
Thanks

Let me start by saying I have no experience with Deere rams so I can't tell you what the seals should look like or where to get them.
However, I have seen rusty and pitted rams be polished up, resealed, and stay pretty much dry. The problem is they will quickly rust up again, so you have to keep them covered and oiled. This shouldn't be a problem for outriggers since they spend most time retracted.
The other option is to just have new rams made with ram stock and the old eyes. Depending on your ram size and hydraulic shop it would probably run 150-200 per ram.
