Good day all
I am new to this site and would like to know the model of this tractor
Will then buy books and start complete restauration
By the way, are the parts difficult to find?
Tractor is starting great (gas two cylinder)
No template on it

Thanks a lot

It is a 420, above about 109,000 serial number with a factory Deere #90 loader.
Parts depends on what you are looking for, but I stock a lot of parts for them.

Just do not know yet which parts I may need, but would there be some parts that should start checking so that if they are worned out, it is not worthed the restauration as it will be too expensive?
Any idea where I could buy the spares part book, maintenance and owner manual?
Regards

The Parts Manual is available free on-line from John Deere at:
http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com. ... ervlet_Alt
Search for "420".
Lavoy or eBay are sources for the Service Manual. The Operators Manual is less important as the same material is covered in the Service Manual.
If your engine is running well, the most important components to look at are the undercarriage - the tracks, rollers, sprockets, etc. You will need to do some research on this site or have someone with some crawler experience help you evaluate the condition of your undercarriage components. Gil

As a general rule, none of them are ever worth the restoration in terms of dollar value. If the value of the machine once it is done vs the dollars spent is of any concern to you, don't start, you will only be disappointed.
If you want to have own the machine for years, play with it, work with it, and someone else can worry about the value at the estate sale, they are probably one of the funnest things you will ever do.
