MC crawler engine block

Has any been able to weld a busted block with the ac cast iron welding rods? my mc rod let loose and smacked a crack/hole in the side :(

310-16 stainless works good also just do it in short passes 1/2" to 3/4" and let cool before doing more
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper

I have only seen this happen on diesel engines but the skirt of the piston is in the pan and the crown is welded inside the bore wrist pin pulled though the piston and of course crashed into the block I dunno if the blow out in the block is repairable[/img]

Did it leak coolant?

The rods I weld with are DC only.

Blocks are not hard to come by or that expensive, I probably have one on the shelf.
