Sorry, just seeing this thread. I asked this question many moons ago and Jdemaris had a really good response as a 2010 "style" diesel engine was also used in other JD products such as combines. This was the main thread that discussed this but I know there were others as well- if you have the inclination you can use the search fun ction to find them:
