fiber steering disc

how do you know if disc are bad. they look dry and in good shape. what is the thickness of them. can some one give me an idea or should i just go new. thanks

Any damage, flaking, separation, oil, swelling, etc. Original is .155.
If in doubt, is it worth saving the money just to pull a final again.

no flaking oil or damage look in real good shape was new before we parked it .only thing would be swelling but all look good. would built up surface rust on steel disc do the same thing as disc swelling.but your right is it all worth saving money. just was all new before we parked thats all. and working correcrtly thanks Donald

In this case, you are likely good to go with just cleaning. I would reset pressure plates on reassembly.
