Hello im new to the forum an dgot a question im in the process of restoring a 1959 john deere 440 icd but i can find the exact model color does any one know the paint code or can get me a link????

It's called Old Construction Yellow. Your John Deere dealer has it in rattle cans or gallon cans. I'd go that route, even though their stuff is pretty thin, because it seems to be a very difficult color for others to match correctly.

Ray III is correct. I think it took me 4 or 5 gallons to paint all of mine. Only used one can of thinner. The paint says to use the JD thinner so I did. I didn't want to mess up any paint.
It takes a few coats to get a good cover. I had to spray the first few coats very very light. Once I got a decent base down I could lay a nice heavy coat on.

Other than it is clean and mine isn't, kind of looks like my shop, just add two more of them sitting there.

another paint thats real close is Valspar-transport yellow,
this subject has been beat to death in other posts, use search feature.

Yep john deere construction yellow old is what where going to use thats what the jd dealer had

and actually we got another dozer in the shop where are making new tracks and sprokets on it
