Post by 1010c » Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:37 pm

Can I take the bolts that connect the front idler to the hydralic tesioner without the spring in the rear comming off?

Those large springs are only under tension when the track is stressed extremely tight. For example, if you crawl over a large rock, or if the track is packed with mud. If you have any slack in your track you can remove the front idler bolts and the spring will not move. Gil

Thank you very much for this information . Also does any one have a part number for the seal kit for the original tesioners?

There is no kit number, only individual parts on the original style. There is also an update that may have been performed, so you will need to take the piston out to see what style you have.

They should be, but you never know with some dealers.
