2010 mistake

Post by jd gascap » Wed Jan 15, 2014 9:04 pm

well a few months back I asked opinions about a 2010 crawler loader. I bought it and got stuck . #1 cylinder was rusted and oil pan is rusted through. I came across a wheeled 2010 with transmission troubles. he wants 1900 for the running tractor. I am not sure if the 3pt arms will fit other model tractors but if I part out the rest I could have a running engine when im done. what do you gentleman think? what is a running engine worth?

Assuming it is a gas engine I would say $850-1250.
Just my opinion.

yes it is a gas. all 2010 gas engines should interchange, shouldn't they? 2010 wheeled were made longer than the crawlers?

if the oil pan is rusted through i assume it must be sheet metal? that engine must have been out of a wheel tractor ....as far as i know and what is in the parts book the crawlers all had cast iron pans

jd gascap,
If you buy that 2010 gas and it has a good radiator I'd like to call dibs if you want to sell.
What is wrong with the trans?
My grandpa has 2- 2010 wheel, gas tractors. One of them has 5th and 6th gear gone, so I might be interested in your tranny too.

I know the bellhousing bolts right up between the 2010 wheel tractor engine and the crawler engines, but I thought there were some differences in engine arrangement and not just what JT pointed out? To be honest though I have never compared the parts manuals for the two gas engines side by side since my 2010s are diesel.

Yes the exhaust manifold is different. Check out this earlier post, it might be helpful.
