Here's some pictures of the old girl taken a few weeks ago as I was doing the riding arena and today before I rolled it into the shop for teardown. My winter is now set.
You might be able to see some of the original green peeking out here and there in the photos but it was repainted yellow when it was used in a contracting business back a couple of decades.
Sorry for the size of the pictures but I haven't got a photo editor worth a darn on this computer. At least for those folks with high speed connections, you can probably measure the track wear from your screen.

The other two rollers are in the shop. The guys that sold it to me pulled them off for reasons unknown. Now you know why I was looking for roller seals. It'll be a four roller when its done.
You can see why I was asking you about the replacement seat cushion set as well. As I started to tear it down yesterday, I found a number of other things that were either jury rigged or just plain missing. I don''t know if you were shopping boats Lavoy, but you might be able to move up a couple of feet on the length by the time this crawler is done.

Fair enough, I'll feel half bad about the reply.
Pulled a bunch of the sheet metal off last night. Had to work on other projects today but I'm going to get back into the crawler later in the week and I should have the engine off next weekend. Should keep me off the streets and out of the bars unless it drives me to drink later in the process.

Hi,
Yeah, I thought the same thing - that it's a 5-roller missing two bottom rollers and the top idler on each side. Looks to me like there's too much space between the front idler and the first roller on both sides. Looks like something is missing up front there.....
Then, again, my 420 has the rock guards and so I don't see a space between the front roller and the front idler, even if one exists. I'll have to wander off looking for photos of more machines without rock guards now - I'm all curious!
After finding a few pix of 4-rollers without rock guards, I see where that spacing is normal. Looking more closely at the shots of the 1010, I also see where the track frame looks to be a bit short, which would be correct for a 4-roller.
The odd part is that I never knew that the 1010 was available as a 4-roller. I thought by that time they were all 5-roller. I also thought that the 1010's all had the solid front idler as well. Interesting. And, too many variations to keep 'track' of!
