1010 track qeustion

Anyone know the procedure for measuring from pin to pin to gauge track wear? Oh, and the measurement inself.

23" center to center across 3 links is like new.
23 1/2" is shot.

Across 5 pins, or 4 links, however you want to say it. New pitch is 5.75", multiply by 4 links is 23".
