Engine clutch always engaged.

Just finished repair work on my 440icd and took it out for a spin when it was apparent that there was no responce to the engine clutch pedal. I could start it in gear and go but no way to release disengage engine and pedal is loose and to the "floor". Now, it has sat a couple of years while I've been working on it in garage and sat for a few year priors to that, outside, before I purchased. Now, I would appreciate some opinions, is the clutch stuck to the pressure plate??? or is the clutch out of adjustment??? or is the pin inside the the bell housing out??? or more information is needed???

Sounds like something is disconnected somewhere.
