Can't believe this post has been up for a week with 172 views and no comments.
I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a little jealous. I know a LOT of work went into saving that thing but the result is amazing.
I so wish I had the time, energy, and resources to accomplish that. One day I hope to be rebuilding and saving these old beauties as well.
Nice job.

What a close community. On this board, everyone shares and plays nicely. I really enjoy being a member. Best wishes guys. The crawler looks great, but the back story sounds just as good. Paul

Paul the story is i bought it and once i got it home had second thoughts about parting it out ,thought it was to good to for that. I Met Mapaduke at a tractor show and saw what he had done . We discussed it and i knew it was better to save it than make money on it and knew he was just the person to do it. I am very pleased to see it "saved"

You both deserve to be pleased. I brought mine back from the grave and keep upgrading it as time, energy, and monies allow. Some day I hope to pass it along. By then it may even be JD green instead of primer. 😉

I've been toying with the idea of putting on a tractor show, well not really a show but a gathering of just crawlers.
What do you think?

Hi,

That crawlers are too slow to drive there. :P

This, being the first thought which Johnny Popped into my head!

It would be too far for me to drag mine to. But that in itself pops up another idea:

Regional shows!

Of course, I am part of a local club, Sandhills Antique Farm Equipment.

http://safeclubinc.org

We have a Farm Park in Lillington, NC. Dirt and grass, so crawlers OK. Not the problem they are at the big show at the State Fairgrounds of Pavement coming up in May.

We wil be having a show October 17 8am till dark at the Farm Park. We have two crawler guys. The other has an Olive Drab Terratrac 25.

I invite anyone here to come and swell our ranks. We are outnumbered by tires! ;)

Anyone else going to shows ought to talk it up here and see if we can pull off regional get togethers.

Maybe we need to start a new thread....make it easier to keep up with.

Hi,

Argh. Double post!

Oh, well. Edit it away and say I started a regional get-together thread over in the Off Topic section.

You know you can count on me for a show but would have to be somewhat local. I dont have a 5 spd just the 4 so i think NC is probably out.I never saw a
optional overdrive either.
