Question for 350c eng. techs
Well I have been running my 350c a lot this summer and this weekend I noticed the oil pressure was way lower than normal (just in the green by a little). I shut it down to see what was up and the oil was over full buy a mile and very thin. I pulled the fuel pump and the diaphragm was leaking fuel past it right into the base---NICE!!---Question is, what if anything would this have harmed??
I bought a 450 outside dozer a while back that had spun a sleeve on the crank after the fuel got into the oil. I bought it that way and the seller thought it had likely ran for quite a while before the damage occurred without the operator being aware of the problem.
The crank is beyond repair. (I have another Engine, a project for down the road )
Good thing you had an eye on that oil gauge.

mine did only run a short time with fuel in the oil ...so i was in luck unlike the one you got scotty.... if ran a long time it will wear out a lot of things ...Diesel is really not a good bearing lubricant
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper

If you did any damage, most likely it would already be knocking. I would fix the problem, change the oil, run it a while, and change again fairly quickly, and see what your pressure does now.

Well I put the new pump on, new filter and oil, also took a good look at the oil I removed with a high intensity light to see if there was any glimmer or flake in the oil and it was perfect...not so much as a spec. even went as far as to get a sample from the filter itself....all is well. oil pressure 80 psi hot at 2000rpm and 58-60 at idle. back to were it always was. as Lavoy said I a bought an extra oil filter and oil just for a good flush....thank goodness for Amsoil full synthetic.------buy the way Lavoy our isolator conversion (C to D) is working perfectly...thanks again.
