got snow
got snow
We finally got enough snow to go play in it. We had 4" and it added another 6" last night. I had cleared the drive but used the 420 today to go down to dirt and widen the path.
Sorry, I can't drive and photo at the same time.... this is what snow looks like for those in need.... white Christmas this year !!
Dog loved it !!

Hi,
Nope. No snow. 75 degrees. Rained 9" over the past three days. The Cape Fear floods at 14'. Was at 18' mid morning. Fishing cabin and party pavilion under water. Is receding some now.
I would need a wide pad 350 to wander thru the woods that aren't under water.....

I'm jealous, just enough here to call it a white Christmas however we have family visiting from a warmer climate and they were really hoping to do some sledding. We need more for that. Have a merry white Christmas!

Merry Christmas! No snow here. Sunny and warm. Rain moving in again this weekend with flooding again I'm sure. A lady had a picture of a "Mud Snow Man" in the paper last week. Odd for us, it's usually cold and snowy this time of year.
Your dog looks happy and we enjoyed the pictures. Snow is a pain in the neck but is nearly always beautiful and fun for the kids and dogs. Merry Christmas! >>> Leonard

Merry Christmas from an almost snowless Killington. Cold temps and possible snow coming soon.

Edit: the webcam is live, so the once barren mountain is finally white; just not as much as usual on 1/9/16.

Barely enough here to snowmobile, almost as bad as last winter. Going to pull the great nieces and nephews around the yard some today, but that is about it. Quit hogging all the snow, send me a foot or so. We need one good blizzard so they can at least start grooming.

Heck I'm 90 miles from you and you have more snow than we do.Lavoy wrote:Barely enough here to snowmobile, almost as bad as last winter. Really could use some though. Spring ain't looking too promising without it.

Last week we got about 4", less than 10 miles away they got 6", and 20 miles north they got 18", go figure. Been kind of a tough sledding winter, and the one day we did go out, sled broke down.

We have had 3 feet so far. It has melted down to a little less than 2 now. I am about 30 or so miles from the Canadian border here. It is snowing right now and I'm betting on another good blast or two by late Feb. I was warned by all the locals when we moved here that we were moving into a "snow zone" . My wife and I love it here. One year they had 11 feet here. I hope that does not happen for a while. At least till after I get some work done on the crawler. And time to gas up the snow shoes...

Oldmetaltender- it certainly has been a atypical winter for sure in your area. I work on projects in the Libby valley (in Montana, just east of where you describe) and there has been so little snow that my co-worker wasted his money on a ski lift pass. They have mostly gotten rain instead.

Well to top it all off, we got a good 7-8 inches of snow last night and about 10 am it turned to rain. I had to spend the morning in town. Got home and plowed, (with a quad) shoveled, and used the snow blower till dark. I am seriously tired.
I just sold a western plow. It was too heavy and I am definitely getting a lighter one as that much time moving snow is ridiculous. I did not get too work in the shop today. Bring a truck, I'll load all you guys up with some surplus snow.

sort of funny to hear you offering truckloads of snow,,,
people truck it in here so that they can play in it, take pix, slop around in it.
has only snowed twice in 30+ years here.
just enough to make the ground white for an hour or two.
confuses the hell out of the lizzerds.

Hi,
What is this 'snow' you speak of??
60 deg here (58 at the County Airport) and sunny here today.
Gonna get some more rain here tomorrow, but is a nice day for putting my old 420c back together. Had to rebuild the starter. It finally gave out.....
