I have a 92 backhoe mounted on a JD450 & I decided to sell them together.
I got an offer for just the backhoe. While doing a demo dig, it seems like the hoe lost a lot of digging/pulling power. The engine did not bog down at all. The hoe just sorta stalled. even in soft ground. The potential buyer said there is a hydraulic pressure bypass valve in the system & and that these sometimes bleed off pressure too soon, causing a weak machine. Being it is an older machine, could this by-pass valve be weak? I know nothing about the internals of the hoe, but it does sound plausible, as it worked great until now. Opinions/thoughts?
