Motor oil 1010
I am getting what looks like transmission oil in my motor oil. It's not water. Is it from the reverser? Do I have to pull the engine? Thanks Larry

Motor oil
It's not water because I'm not losing any out of the radiator . I drained almost 5 gallons out the motor oil pan! What could it be.

I bet its a diesel? If it is the umbrella seals on the pump are leaking.... What you drained out was very thin? Went through a lot of fuel lately? I had the same thing on one of my 2010s

I'd guess jtrichard is correct. If it is the pump seal, you can probably smell the diesel fuel in the engine oil. You'll need to pull the pump to replace the seal.

Something other than oil in my oil
I have a 450B with something watery in my oil. I am also leaking oil from around my pan (loose bolts for sure and probably a bad gasket, too). I know I have a leak around my injection pump. Do I have the same problem?

Is the coolant level correct? If there's coolant in the crankcase, you may have a faulty head gasket.Les wrote:I have a 450B with something watery in my oil. Hi,
Well, the seals are on the pump driveshaft, so if the IP is wet on the outside it is a good bet fuel is also following the shaft right into the crankcase.

Hi,
And, water won't stay mixed. It will wind up on the bottom overnight. Pull the oil drain plug and the water comes out first, then the oil. Then it mixes in the drain pan and forms that lovely mushroom gravy stuff.....
