WoW! Stefan, very impressive!

Very inspiring. I could probably do something like that with my 350. What did you use for hydraulic controls?

Good work!!

Thanks

I used a John Deere 3 spool/six way valve off a 450c that I bought as a basket case off of a wrecker 2 hours away.

Very nice work. Like your milling machine, lol. Looked at mine and thought about doing something like this a while back.
440 gas loader, #440808, locked up, bad final
1010 diesel dozer, #36769, fixing.

Other old junk
1966 175 massey, loader
1952 Reo M108 crane truck(m35 wrecker)
1946 CJ2A jeeps

This looks great and has inspired me to do this to my 2010 Do you find having the angle cylinders mounted at a steep angle inboard like you do gives you enough power to walk the dozer back with the blade if you were to get in some sticky stuff

I was thinking of using a longer cylinder mounted further out on the blade and back further on the lift frame but then worry about protection from trees and etc

Thanks

The cylinders have a 4" bore so with how their set up I should have about 8-9 tons of strength at the ends of the blade.

That is sweet. I have an inside 6 way on my 350, but I am not sure that it is as robust as your set up. It is also worn out so I like your line boring methods. I might have to rig something similar up.

I might machine my own Expander style pins too though. I am not sure. That is the problem when you are a fabricator/welder, you can do about anything it is just "do I really have the time too?" That is the issue.
I have no intention of traveling to my grave in a well manicured body; instead I am going to slide into heaven with a big power turn, totally wore out with busted knuckles, jump off my dozer loudly yelling, Woo Hoo, another Shepard has just arrived!

Thanks. I think 3 1/2" bore would work good on a JD 350 or similar size machine.

My machine will lose traction or stall out before the relief valve opens while pushing from the ends of the blade.

The main pivot was all egg shaped so I up sized it to 2" and the pivot for the tilt is also 2" now with grease fittings. The pins for the cylinders are 1 1/4".
I had to cut the pin bushings off of the angle cylinders and clock them 90° so the fittings would be pointing up.

It took alot of coffee and time to figure it all out lol.
