Hi,

Post Reply. Use a contraction. See if I can't break it.

Hi,

Make a long post. In this case a copy of the longest post I ever made.

Well, this morning I had a mug of coffee larger than normal, and a donut smaller than normal. So, that left me with half a mug of coffee and the only Food was that For Thought.....

So, I thought we might could (this is a Southern term) use a List where all the Service Manuals and Part Catalogs were in one place for easy lookup.

So, here goes. I will start the list what I have on the shelf, which are few. But, that will get us going. Others can list the rest in replies, and I will copy and paste them into this starting post so folks don't have to wander thru a maze of posts looking for what they want.

-----

BO Lindeman

Are there manuals for these as crawlers, or was it grab a BO manual and guess when it came to the Lindeman parts?

-----

MC

OM TMC2551
SM 2003
PC 848

MC 1000 Tool Carrier
OM Y6-1050

MC 60 Bulldozer
OM F21-1131

The M manuals were split into M, MT and MC. Manuals for the later models have the crawlers in with the rest. M was SM2001 and MT was SM2002. I have PC194 (1954) which only covers the standard M wheel tractor. Presumably, there were other PCs for the MT and MC. PC848 is a later one (1963) which covers all the M variants.

-----

40c

OM T3-952
OM T9-555 (sn 62264 up)
SM 2013
PC 311

61 Bulldozer
OM C36956

-----

420c

OM T42757
SM 2019
PC 505

Important Note: If one has the Differential style Reverser in their late 420 or 430, one needs the 440 SM as well. The Diff Reverser is not in SM2019. PC505 *does* show the Diff Reverser, so we're good there.

62 Bulldozer
OM U11504U

90 Loader
OM D53-758 (sn 2801 up)
PC 514

90 Loader Fork Lift and Log Loader attachment
OM C46-1157

-----

430c

OM T60558 (sn 140001 up)
SM 2019
PC 505

I do not know of a SM for the 430. I think the 420 manual is used. Or, at least the JD Dealership I grew up in used the 420 manual for the 430. My manuals came out of our shop when it closed down. The PC505 for the 420 also covers the 430 parts which happen to be different from the 420.

-----

440

OM T54458 - 440IC
OM T54859 - 440IC (sn 448001 up)
OM T73459 - 440 ICD

SM 2023 - Spark Ignition
SM 2028 - GM 2-53 Diesel Engine

PC 573 - 440 IC
PC 609 - 440 ICD

63 Bulldozer
PC 569

64 Bulldozer
OM U11307U
OM D50-558

602 Bulldozer
OM U11413

91 Loader
OM C58-158
PC 577

91 Loader Forklift and Log Loader attachment
OM C50-358

831 Loader
PC 613

3pt Hitch
OM T81459

Here we see my Uncle tossing manuals at his brother (Dad). I have a 440 manual for gassers, and a manual just on the diesel engine, and a catalog for the diesel machine. This is because the 420/440 manuals were in the pile and between them all, most everything is covered.

Originally, I thought there was a third service manual for diesel 440s. Well, now I think there was no separate service manual for diesel 440 machines. I think it was what I have myself: A manual for Spark Ignition machines and a manual just for the 2-53 engine.

This is excellent. It automatically fits itself to the screen on my phone.

I wonder if the green and yellow colors could be brought back.

I went and looked at it. I will give it a shot if I need to post pics. Good to have all that stuff in one place for exploring.
