Re: 420c undercarriage rollers
Original 420 rollers have a sleeve bearing on each side. The area inside the roller is much larger than the sleeve OD.If you cannot pull the sleeve then
a special driver which keeps the bearing from falling into the center of the roller needs to be used. This can be made but unless you are restoring the crawler 350 rollers are a much cheaper fix.The seals alone will add up to what new rollers will cost.Lavoy may have new seals or new 350 rollers. The nice thing about the 350 roller is that it is sealed and needs no grease.

Re: 420c undercarriage rollers
Last time i checked, deere prices were high for those bushings and seals. Price of bottom rollers has exploded. I bought one in 2010 from deere and it was around 250$. The same roller number today is around 540$!!
I just rebuilt the 2 side frames on my 440 and i thought i would only need 3 rollers. After inspection i replaced all of them (10). The local deere dealer (industrial) offered an aftermarket roller set, sealed for life, 140$/roller which is fair. Considering the number of hours the most of us do with those old crawlers, they should last a long time. I see you're from NB so you might be able to get them as well.
If you are looking for a quick fix, one aftermarket roller is the way to go. If you are going through a rebuild of the side frames, rock guards and rollers you don't want to go back there! My advice would be to replace all of them with new hardware.
An undercarriage wears out as an assembly. Different roller od, for the roller path, applies uneven pressure on the chain links and rollers, etc. You end up having less rollers taking the load in certain terrain conditions, so other problems can develop. Again it always depends on which use you plan to do with the machine vs cost of the repair. Happy wrenching!
