trying to do some research to figure out how a 530 case backhoe attachment will work on my 4020
Its been setup with a dray attachment, so it should save on the 3 point.
4 gpm for just the tractor
5.5 for the tractor w loader
11 for the tractor w loader and backhoe
but then shows 22 gpm for the total
It shows 2 valves, so maybe 11 gallons per valve? Or is this the auxiliary hydraulics plus the hydrostatic drive? Or is this just a mistake on the website tractor data.com(which i have seen a few times before)
my concern is... am i going to be good with the auxiliary of 13 gpm (i am to understand) with the 4020, or should i also start looking for a setup for a pto pump. I have a buddy that has an old pump that i an modify possibly, but aquired it yet (not sure how big it is, but its probably pretty close)
Heck, while im at it... does anybody know if the pumps for TRUCK ptos run at 540, 1000, or some other speed?

Re: case 530 backhoe attachment
The hoe is most likely open center, so your 4020 will not like that. Going to get a lot of heat buildup. If the valve can be converted to closed center, then it will work. Otherwise, standalone hyd system with a PTO pump might be the ticket,
If you are pulling on the top link, it will not stand backhoe torque, it will break in relatively short order.

Thank you. Valve has to be rebuilt before I can do anything anyway. I did get it. waiting for the valve to come back. (I have too many irons in the fire and this guy does a good job)
