parts

Post by Jalbanese » Tue Nov 21, 2017 11:06 am

I need a few parts for my 440ICD, the water pump is weeping and I would like to get seals part no. 5121751, gasket part no. 5119282 and since I have it apart shaft with bearings part no. 904827, not sure if they are available, or do I need to take it apart and measure them and see what I can find?

Also my machine has the Cessna hydraulic pump and the coupling shaft is bad, I am looking for the coupling part no. T11751T and the shaft part no. T12189T,

Any suggestions would be appreciated

John

Detroit dealer should be able to get you the pump parts.
Shafts are all obsolete. I might have repair pieces, need to know which spline you have.

it is the Cessna pump, the part number is T12189T for the shaft and T11751T for the coupler, is there another way you would like a description, length or diameter, number of splines? And by Detroit dealer you mean a Detroit engine dealer?

Lavoy, I appreciate all your help.

Short end , larger diameter of shaft 6 spline OD .732" (a lot of wear) I would guess originally around .750" estimaded
Long end smaller diameter of shaft 9 spline OD .614"

Any suggestions on where to find one? Or do you have a pump and parts to convert to the other style of pump?

I'm having the same exact problem and I'm trying to adapt a pump. Haven't got all the parts yet, so I don't know if it will work, but here's what I went with for a pump:

I apparently got the last one at surplus center, but I imagine it wouldn't be hard to find another.

Then I'm going to take these two and weld them together and maybe have to cut them down for length:

After reading your post about the 6 spline, I wonder if I ordered the right coupler. Is the 6 spline on the engine or the pump? I could have swore both sides of mine were more than 6 splines. Don't have it handy right now to look at though.

I tracked down the parts diagram and I think I see what it is. I didn't realize there was a shaft that had two splines. One end (I assume the 6t end) goes into the drive coupling (AT11426T). The other end goes into the coupling (T11751T). So I think I did order the right coupling, but I guess you need more parts than I do. It might be possible to do something similar to what I'm doing if you can find splined shafting.

I just need the shaft and coupler, if I have to I can weld and machine the shaft, not that I want to, but the coupler is more difficult to machine, I may end up putting a key or pin in that. While I search for parts, or convert to the other style
