radiator
Re: radiator
Yes, It is pressurized. I think what you are asking is if the system is an open/non-vented or closed/vented system.
In it's original state the 450 cooling system is an open system. The radiator cap will only have one rubber seal. If the pressure in the system rises above the cap limit, fluid is pushed out the over-flow tube and falls onto the ground. To have a properly working closed system you must have a overflow container, and the rad cap with two rubber seals(one to seal the pressure producing radiator and one to seal the neck from the environment. When the pressure exceeds the rated limit of the cap, coolant is pushed out the lower seal into the overflow container and stored until the engine cools. As the engine cools and the radiator coolant contracts/shrinks a vacuum will be formed and liquid from the overflow will be sucked back into the radiator. This allows the system to expand, but will continue to keep the system completely full through multiple heating and cooling cycles. Hope this helps. Take care, Bruce

Re: radiator
should get from JD as it is longer than standard auto caps not real expensive from dealer
