Hello all.
Just had a quick question regarding changing tracks. I have a 5 roller 420 that runs great but the under carriage is pretty much shot. Pins and bushings are pretty shot as well as the sprockets. A while back I bought a 4 roller 420 that had been sitting outside for quite some time and the engine was seized. Some time before it was parked the older gentleman who owned it had new rollers, pins & bushings as well as sprockets installed at the local dealer. The machine does roll so the tracks are not seized up. Any issues with putting a 4 roller under carriage on a 5 roller machine? I do realize that it will not be as stable as a 5 roller machine but any other issues? Thank you in advance.
Mike

Re: Track change over?
It will work just fine as far as the undercarriage. If you have a heavy dozer, you will hate it, if you have a loader, it will be even worse.
