Ohio Weather

Post by dtoots1 » Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:02 am

Well folks, hope all is well in your neck of woods!!

Last few days we had about a foot of snow and below zero temps.....Had the handy old JD40s wheeled for pushing snow, but son driving her and broke the frame for the pusher blade, so had to get the JD440ic out and pull her out'in da way and us the trusty dozer....got my drive cleaned out and half dozen of neighbors, not best as can only back drag and most are gravel and certainly not level. Drover her down the road itself as enough snow on roads to protect it....snow plows finally got around to it about 6 or 7 that nite.

Got em done and leastaways they can get out and move around....had to go back second time as neighbors front wheel drive van just would not go..

Guess what weather we now have today???? Tis currently 43 degrees and rising....roads just sloppy mush. must be that global warming stuff, but weather claims to be cold again next few days, typical Ohio weather!!

15 - 18" of snow here with high wind and drifting snow. Used the Super-H to plow the drive and parking areas, Sunday.
Yesterday, cleaned up the snow around the logsplitter and some more of the drive and parking area.
Today, rain, freezing on contact with the road surface T 5AM. Still spots of ice on backroads and bridges.
Calling for a high of 45°F, rain all day, changing to snow tonight. Up to an inch of snow tonight.
Stsy warm and dry.

Its supposed to warm up a bit here, we're at 16f currently, then snow tonight into tomorrow. They are saying rain to rain snow mix along the coast up to a foot as you go up thru the state. Following that Wednesday night, it sounds like you guys are shipping the cold air this way. Thanks for sharing.

Just got home, had to run up to Erie for wife's doctor appointment. Hit 10 below in a few places. snow squalls. Lots and lots of blowing snow. Couple of whiteouts. And of course the jackass that follows 5 feet off the rear bumper. Don't mind winter if we could just stay home.

Hi,

You are about to equalize the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales! Brrr!

I only go near there in my temperature chamber in my electronics lab, and even then I stop at minus 30 C....

This explains your post over in the Parts forum for heating pads.

Hope it warms up soon.

Folks around here panic at +20 F, which is where we are this morning.

Yeah, stuff is a little bit stiff at 35 below. up to -12 now, and heading for 20's above for a few days, that will feel much better. It will be almost a 60 degree swing in 4 days.

Up here in the frozen north of MN I had the coldest I've had so far, -41. I'm ready for spring! :D
