Prices vary quite a bit. Most of things you list should keep it's value on the upper side of similar machines. The undercarriage condition is a big plus, but how many of the people of the street that are shopping know enough to value it is another question. On Craigslist around here I see all models of 350's priced from 2500 (running needs work) to 9000 (excellent condition per the owner), most 450s, up through the D's are running about the same. A few are asking into the mid teens with winches and forestry packages. I would say check out similar machines in your area for sale to get the best idea of what it is likely to sell for. Then you can decide to go hi or low depending on how bad you want to move it.

Hi Jim,

How long (looks like it may have been more than a year) since you last ran it for a hour or more, and did it start, charge, and run ok then? I have had trucks and tractors with single wire alternators where parasitic load pulled the batteries down in a week when setting, then again not do it. The alternators aren't supposed to do that but some will, at least what I have seen. I unhook batteries on some units now and am working on putting master disconnects on them. I would suggest doing so basic electrical diagnostics first, before looking at the injection pump. I would start by charging and checking the batteries (Load test if you can. I prefer, and have, a carbon pile tester to load them with), cleaning all the cable ends, not just battery terminals, but starter and ground ends as well. Loosen and tighten the starter mounting bolts to be sure that is grounded good. Use a voltmeter and check voltage at the batteries and at the starter before cranking. They should be very close or the same. Check voltage at the batteries and starter when cranking. You can also try connecting a booster/jumper cable between the battery ground terminal and a starter mounting bolt to see if there is high resistance in the ground through the frame. If cranking voltage is way down compared to before cranking it may be the batteries are weak, there is a bad cable, or the starter draw is high. Feel the cable ends right after cranking, if one is hot it is bad. If the batteries test good and the voltage is the same at the batteries and starter when cranking it would be worth having the starter checked. Fuel filter placement over the starter is not the best for JD starters, if the fuel runs down and into them during filter changes.

Even though I am putting disconnects on mine, I will say I have seen those go bad as well, just another thing to check. Interested in what you find
