JD450 steering clutch

Post by john450 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 9:40 am

Hi Lavoy,
It has been a few years since you helped me get the pistons out of the cylinders in my loader...Thanks for that (in case I did not thank you at the time probably 2012 or a little later)
My search for steering clutch removal on your site said to call you for a price on new or rebuilt steering clutches for a JD450
Are you still supplying those parts? and how much $ ?
My OLD 450 doesn't get used much so I am not sure if I will do the repair any way...Just thinking about it ( I am not young anymore either )
Also my search for removal of that item on your site didn't come up with any useful info.
The service manual says the fuel tank, track.sprocket and misc parts inside the housing need to be removed.
I don't spend a lot of time being proficient with the computer so excuse me please for contacting you this way
You may have my email address on file (hopefully)
Thanks
John

I think you pretty much have it in a nutshell. Not a fun job, but just take your time, get help for the heavy stuff if you can.
Give me a call at 701-361-1006 if you have questions.
Thanks,
Lavoy
