Hi, I 'm rebuilding my two cylinders lifts of my no.1000 tool carrier on my 40c. My question is, normaly should the piston have one or two O-ring on each sides? Mine have two but on the part diagram I can just see one O-ring.
Thank you

Re: no.1000 cylinder lift question
There should be an o-ring and a backup on either side. On the inside end I have found that there is enough room to put 2 backups in. Don't know it is critical, but for a couple bucks can't hurt. Make sure to index the shaft correctly when reinstalling.

Re: no.1000 cylinder lift question
Sorry, I screwed up, I was thinking shaft, not pistons. I have never seen one with two O-rings, but maybe the later pistons had them. If there are two full grooves, I would put an o=ring in each one.

I don't have enough place to put two backup both sides if the o-ring, just for one so witch side is the best to put one backup?

In this case, doesn't really matter, you have pressure both ways.
