350B shifting problem
350B shifting problem
I am having a hard time shifting into first gear on my 350B loader. Its feels almost like its been locked out and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Sometimes it goes right in, most of the time not. Hoping its a matter of grease or lube on the right linkage. It shifts easily through all other gears. Any pointers?

Re: 350B shifting problem
Your issue could be any number of things and all of them will be inside the transmission itself. Unfortunately you're going to have to look inside. You can remove the shifter / trans cover without removing the transmission. I would pull that off first to see what is going on.

Re: 350B shifting problem
Try engaging your reverser then stepping on the clutch. At times the Tranny gears are not lined up to shift.

Re: 350B shifting problem
I will try engaging the reverser and clutch first then look inside if needed. At times it goes in perfectly smooth and other times can't even force it in so hoping its operator error. The loader is parked in a remote area so anything other than removing a few covers will require moving it back to the shop.
