Family Photo

Post by Stan Disbrow » Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:47 am

Hi,

I put this in another thread where, it occurs to me, many might not read and so see it. So, here it is. A family photo!

Image

Two two-cylinders, two three-cylinders (diesel). In year-made order. What's missing is the garden tractor and my wife's Gator.

1950 M with the hillers still on the cultivators

1958 420c

1978 JD350C

2008 5103

And, we can now embark on a discussion of how different digital cameras have different looks. That one above was taken with my Pentax 645D medium format rig. 40 MP. The one below was taken with my Nikon Df. 16 MP. Not that I am posting them anywhere near their full sizes. Both are greatly downsampled for hosting and posting. They do lose something as a result.

But, it is the color differences. Different imagers with different colors in their Color Filter Arrays. And, a different aspect ratio (4:3 v 3:2).

The best part is, for once, I didn't use the ubiquitous cell phone camera. :P
