Hi
I am looking for a six blade blower fan for a 450 straight. Equivalent to an AT27701. Either new aftermarket, oem, or used in good condition. An aftermarket that can be adapted would be ok also. Has anyone tried an electric aftermarket on the front of the radiator? I thought I could find anything on the internet. I may be wrong.
Any ideas?
Thanks
John

At27701 now subs to AT81264 Fan blade (6 blade pusher) and 4 each 24M7238 washers according to the on line parts catalog. At81264 shows as available to order when I enter it on the part check at my Yellow JD dealer. (about $225, Green Dealer shows $197, so that is about the price range). Try the new part number on your internet search.

I did not see that there was a substitution. I guess that OEM will be a fall back position if I can't find a good used one. I have a couple of other things I am looking at. $200 is pricey for a fan. By the way, do you know what the 24M7238 washers are for? I was thinking they were bushings but they are actually just flat washers. In the short term, the "repaired" fan will stay on it. It has been straightened and all the blades have been trimmed to an identical profile to remove the damage near the tip.

I am assuming (that usually leads to trouble) that they are to go under the heads of the four bolts that hold the fan to the water pump hub. The drawing (four blade fan) in the parts catalog shows only the capscrews holding the fan, no washers of any type under the heads.

Maybe they are there to provide additional fan clearance for the crankshaft pulley. They are only about .080" thick so they can't be helping a whole lot. Oh, well still looking at other options. I would even consider an electric if there was a sturdy one available. Most seem wimpy even for automotive use.

I have a 6 bladed fan on a 450C, don't know if it will work on a older 219 engine. I believe it's a blower fan. If it will work, figure $100 + shipping.
