1010 Radiators
1010 radiator
Hi Bill and Lavoy do you have a part number for the afore mentioned radiator. There is a neighbor who said he could get a radiator for anything, sounds to good but might be worth a try. He also rebuilds starters and gen/alts too. Dean
Well Dean, we can sure give it a shot. The Deere part number for the early 1010 radiator is an AT13096 (sub. for AT12918). The later models are an AT15331 (diesel without reverser), AT15327 (diesel with reverser), AT15328 (gas without reverser), and AT15330 (gas with reverser).
Gee, I can't understand why the things aren't common. It's not like Deere made 6 different radiators for the same basic crawler.

Spoke with the guy on the radiators,he will call and let me know. Couple of days or a week. I explained the reason for asking,he was unaware of not being able to get them. Dean
Re: 1010 Radiators
did anyone ever find out a source for these radiators ?
Re: 1010 Radiators
No, there are no aftermarket radiators available as long as I have been doing this.

Re: 1010 Radiators
Lavoy, any reason why nobody is reproducing radiators for the "new generation" tractors? None for 1010, we can't ever find any for 2010's. Seems a little odd considering the popularity among collectors for all the new generation 10 series Deeres.

Re: 1010 Radiators
1010 and 2010 have always been poor, both wheel and crawler. Seems Deere just forgot about them. The old joke is that Deere quit making parts for 1010/2010 the day the last one rolled off the assembly line.
I have been at this not quite 30 years, and even back then, 2 cylinder availability was better than the 1010/2010.

Re: 1010 Radiators
an aside to this gas versus diesel radiators.....friend of mine bent his top tank along with radiator...gas job.....actually run a cut block off a tree into the radiator ...no guard on it....we were able to get a diesel radiator and made it fit.....simply had to boost the hard nose up about 1/2 for clearance of the radiator filler/cap area to clear...hoses and hydraulic lines went thru lower pan for cooling too....(dozer 2010). been working fine for past year now...
