2 different sprockets style on 420c?
2 different sprockets style on 420c?
I just found out my 420 crawler has a different style of sprockets on the front.. other words they are mismatched. One is like a solid steel wheel the other has the normal sprocket with cutout holes. Is there a difference in years between sprockets or did they make both in the same era? Just curious thanks!
Re: 2 different sprockets style on 420c?
Okay, might need some clarification. Are you talking about rear sprockets, or front idlers?

I am sorry I mean the front idlers.

Parts books shows both styles.

OEM disc front idlers for the 420/430 I am not sure I have ever seen a factor one. I have a couple of aftermarket ones to go on a crawler someday just for the fun of it.

I see! Yes I was just wondering if there was one newer than the other. Or if the crawler loaders were different than the dozers.
