Took the rear plate off to inspect the Ring gear and pinion, they look like brand new, no chips or breaks, the rivets appear to be tight, pinion is hard to see but looks good. There is a little slop some where but I would think that is a normal were thing. The bearings look like tapered roller bearings or something and they also look and feel great.
The seals in the ring gear case appear to be good, not leaking like I thought.
Took the clutches out of the final drive, they look very ugly.
Lots of rust and pitting and groves, all are shot. Maybe that’s why it was slipping???
There were 8 steels and 8 fibers. The last one in the final drive was a fiber; it was up against that bear casting I thought this was suppose to be a steel?????
I will need a throw out bearing carrier, do you have one??? This one is broke.
Thanks
