What year is my 350
What year is my 350
I bought an old JD350. I think its a straight 350. I wondered the year so I can order manuals. I think im missing something in serial # but not sure. Its 003145U type F7350. Any info
Re: What year is my 350
I don't think you have found the serial number tag for the crawler. Does your 350 have a loader on it? The numbers you posted look more like the loader model numbers. 7350 was the prefix number for 350 loaders and won't help with your crawler serial number, which is needed to find the right build year. The basic 350 crawler serial number for crawlers, up to serial number 142199, will be on the front of the panel below the seat, about behind your right calf if you are sitting in the seat. The basic 350 crawler serial number starting with crawler 142200 was located on the outside of the front panel of the battery box. If you find a pair of 1/8" holes about 3" apart in either place, your serial number tag is missing. These pictures show the locations on dozer crawlers, loader crawler tags were in the same locations.

Re: What year is my 350
So if I'm looking at the correct one now its a 1967. I just took a bunch of pictures. I knew which plate I was looking for but forgot the order I took the pictures. Also what manuals are best
Re: What year is my 350
have one same series mine is a 66
Re: What year is my 350
Yes, your crawler is a 1967 build by that number. Machine serial number tag breakdown using the 350 Introduction from the JD parts Catalog:
SN = serial number
T = Tractor
4 = JD350
E = Crawler - Loader
3 = Diesel
D = (Transmission) Sliding Gear with Reverser
Serial number: 047766 (This number falls in the 1967 build range using the serial number list on this site’s FAQ board)
T= (Build location) John Deere Dubuque Works
John Deere manuals, or quality reprints of them, are best. I recommend contacting Lavoy (postmaster@jdcrawlers.com or you can call the phone number on the home page during central time zone business hours) he sells manuals in his store. (His business, store and repair, provides this site for us to use. He uses what he sells so he knows the products and is a source for technical advice to back them up.) There is a listing of manuals for many models on the FAQ Board, in a post by Stan Disbrow (about the 17th down). You will find the JD publication numbers for your 350 in that post. There were several Operator's manuals over the years, JD shows the current publication as OMT32423. You can use the on line parts catalogs at https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/ as well.
You can not upload pictures to this site directly from a computer or phone. The site has a dedicated picture server which you can read about on the Messageboard Q&A and Announcements Board, you will see at the bottom of the index page when you are logged in. You have to set up a user account for it with Lavoy. Or you need to use some other third party hosting site.
