OP - the pictures of the drain plugs with the blue circles, you said you drained them and they are filled using the same location as you fill the transmission (the pipe with the transmission dipstick) ?
are they also 1/2 drain plugs?
I have the same dozer and it is over on a friends property so I dont have 24/7 access to it. I have to bring my tools to work on it on weekends and it is having issues with it going in reverse. It will go into reverse, but it will not move backwards if there is a load or uphill. The transmission dipstick looks like white milk when I check it after it has warmed up ... so I want to make sure I drain everything when I do drain the transmission.
BTW... Amazing work ... keep up posting pictures even if you dont think it is important ... this thread has really helped me ... the details you are posting here may help someone now or in the future and this is great stuff - keep it up !!!

That is correct. Pipe with the transmission dipstick. But please understand that you only do this if your machine has a common sump conversion (or from the factory). Do you have a full technical manual? If not, get one.Bond007taz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 9:23 amOP - the pictures of the drain plugs with the blue circles, you said you drained them and they are filled using the same location as you fill the transmission (the pipe with the transmission dipstick) ?

Pretty sure they are 1/2" drive, but idk for sure. The final drive(s) plugs are bigger, so maybe they are 3/8" drive now that I think about it.
After you flush/drain everything, make sure you remove the trans sump screen filter element (under right foot floor board) and clean it really well. In terms of the dozer not moving backwards well, sounds like adjustments need to be made. Again, please get yourself a complete technical manual as it will really help. But pretty much you need to adjust not only the main clutch pedal free play, but also check and adjust the pressures of the H-L-R clutches. If things aren't adjusted properly, the dozer will perform like garbage, bucking all around when shifting between H-L-R, lack of power either pushing or pulling, etc. etc. not to mention you can burn up clutch packs running it out of proper adjustment (expensive!!!).
I am so glad my thread has provided you with some aid. Check out the link below! Tested the old girl out a couple weeks ago! Machine is currently for sale in WA state.

Some of us live in locations where pulling a trailer with a 350 Dozer on it requires federal carrier registration. I’m headed there tomorrow, crossing over into NWJD’s province, with $138 of permits in hand and a log book.
That is the kind of trailer i’m Looking for. 17.5 rubber and 10k axles for behind a dually. Easier to haul small stuff vs a 28’ gooseneck

I totally hear you sir. I have been living right on the border in terms of load ratings and being legal here in WA state for quite some time. I take on side work to make extra $ and for fun, so I haul my mini ex. around as well as my tractor for various type of side work.JWB Contracting wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 10:11 pmSome of us live in locations where pulling a trailer with a 350 Dozer on it requires federal carrier registration. I have a 2000 F350 dually and both of my trailers (14K PJ dump & 14K Load Trail deck over) are as much as I can put behind her legally before the whole CDL scenario comes into play.
The gentlemen said he paid like 15k for that trailer!
