What PSI are 450 hydraulic hoses for loader ?
My hoses are too old to identify. Anyone know PSI for loader hoses ?
Re: What PSI are 450 hydraulic hoses for loader ?
I use two wire hydraulic hose. I think max operating pressure of 6,000. I am pretty sure the two wire hose is what was used by Deere for the loader application.

I found some 2-wire locally and they are only 3,100 PSI. Will that be ok ?

Should be fine. Pressure relief is usually around 2,250.

I believe the relief valve is only active while you are using a function and the lines may see a higher pressure when you are not using that function. Think running into an obstacle.

Correct, there is a difference in nominal operating pressure and burst pressure.

Talk to the supplier for all the info about the hose. Your local 3100 psi hose is normally showing the working pressure on the casing. Burst pressure is generally about 4 times the working pressure, so a 3100 psi working pressure hose would have a bursting pressure in the 12,000 to 13,000 psi range. the burst pressure rating covers surges. It will be fine.
