440 Crawler For Sale
440 Crawler For Sale
Hi All,
I have a 440 Crawler that needs a new home.
It has a logging canopy on her, winch, and a blade. She's a 2cyl gas model, and has a reverser/Johnson bar.
She's not pristine, but does run and move. The tin wear say's 440 Diesel, but it's definitely a gas engine.
Serial Number is: 453049
Sorry, couldn't figure out how to post picturess, hit me up and I'll send them to you. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Machine is located in Northern Idaho.
Price is $2,500.00
Thanks,
Craig

Hey Guys,
Someone needs to show interest or buy this crawler! At least ask some questions.
She's too good to go to scrap, or be parted out.
Thanks,
Craig

Re: 440 Crawler For Sale
My old MC just bit the dust, and I'm looking to replace it if i can get anything for it. A 440 crawler would be a big upgrade for me, if . . .
I wonder how far it is from Seattle.

Hi,
It's a lot closer to you than it is to me, that's for sure! Raleigh NC area......
What does 'MC bit the dust' mean? Got yanked into two pieces pulling on too large a stump? One track wrapped around the sprocket like it's a big wheel?
To some around here, 'bit the dust' means 'I need to work on it some'.

Re: 440 Crawler For Sale
"Bit the dust" means I've worked on this thing for a long time, new valves, push rods, carb rebuild, new starter etc. Starts great now. But steering levers need adjusting. Darn - clutch throw-out bolt seems to be sheared off. No further fixes unless I want to pull the track off and dig into the final drive. Well, that's not me. I'll try to use it with one steering lever to finish a few jobs then dump it!! Grrrr. Really disappointed. It's a good machine - but not for me.

Bbart,
Actually the finals are really not that hard to work on....Heavy but engine hoist will do the job nicely...just require patience...wish you were nearby..i would do that...I am 81 and just pulled my 420 finals and installed new clutches etc....really liked my old 440 w/hydraulic 6 way..sold it and now miss it.
back togetyher...but am waiting on dang ..Main Bearings...claim should be ready in JUNE but just about gone
what make you think clutch throwout bolt sheared off???
