1952 MC Crawler - Excess track assembly slack

Post by jacksonvine » Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:19 pm

Several years ago I purchased a set of track assemblies and reinstalled my track shoes. I had been hoping to be able to to get some of the slack in my assemblies. I helped some but I think I have too much slack and I am nearing the end of adjustment of the brackets on the frame assembly. Since there is no upper roller to take out some of the slack how do I increase track tension? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You don't want tension on tracks, they are supposed to run with a given amount of slack. If you can not adjust them properly, then the pins and bushings are shot, it is not an adjuster issue.
