This is the quill out of my straight 450 from behind the steering clutch. Does any body know what this plate is? It's about 1-1/2 x 2 x 1/16" thick and it's bolted and safety wired in place. It's not in the parts manual and I can't figure out it's purpose

Re: 450 Quill Question
Well I see my pic didn't show up. I tried for an hour to get it but obviously did something wrong

Re: 450 Quill Question
I see you pictures when I look on the picture server. I don't have an answer for that plate.
Just to review how I attach a picture.
Log into the picture server. Find my picture I want and click on "Edit file information".
Copy the url ending at the 10023/
Go back to my post and click on the picture icon. Insert the copied url between the brackets of the img markers.
Go back to the picture server and copy the picture title in the box after the url.
Go back to the post and paste the picture title at the end of the url you pasted before. Make sure the / is still after the 10023 and that there are no spaces ahead of or after the picture title
Hope this helps

Re: 450 Quill Question
Cannot log in to the picture server. Instructions don't show up in FAQ's. What's up?
Re: 450 Quill Question
It would seem you must have logged in to the picture server to put pictures there. And the URL in your first post of the thread looks like you were on that server. Did you set up a username and password for that server with Lavoy?
Below is picture I see on the picture server, multiple times dated yesterday, I think is yours (username for the gallery this picture is in is bill).
