My 350 with the 3PT that is in the pics section came in on wide crossbars, but did not have the 33" pads on it.
Look closely at the pics, and you will notice that there is no outboard bearing on the end of the axle by the sprocket. There is an 18" extension bolted to the axle, and then the sprocket bolts to that. So when you are pushing real hard, just think of the torque that is being applied to the final drive. When the B series came out, they had a coupling with some flex on the end of the axle, and a large bearing that bolts outboard of the sprocket and hooks to the trackframe for added support, a much stronger setup.
The literature I have and have seen says that this setup was designed for snow, and in the summer months, you were supposed to narrow it back up for use in the dirt.

Hi,
Wow. Looks like a good way to bust just about everything in the finals without a lot of effort. However, if you ever needed to go get another machine that got stuck in swampy ground, this would be a great candidate. A crawler-retriever, as it were.
I can see how it would be great on snow, too. Sort of like a Snow Cat with a blade. Narrow it back up every spring, and widen it in the fall? Sounds like way too much work to me. I think if I had need for a Snow Cat Dozer, I'd have a second one with regular, narrow tracks for the summer and save myself a lot of work!
