I've yet to find the location of a main transmission housing breather and tube if there is one. I have what looks like plastic tube at the rear under the fuel tank but the other end isn't connected to anything.

I'm not aware of a trans breather tube. I suspect the plastic tube you are describing in the sump drain for the fuel tank. I drain a cup of fuel out of the fuel sump to rid the tank of water and sediment every so often. Bruce

You are welcome. I use air brake tubing and it usually exit the left rear of the machine. Bruce
