My son told me about a deal he read somewhere. Author made the joke. "Whether properly torqued or crossthreaded, tight is tight."

I think I am going to adopt that as my new favorite line.

We've been working on an 84 K10 Chevy he is trying to bring back to life. Sometimes when he can't get something to move and I get it to go with a bigger hammer, wrench, etc, I keep asking him what is it I always say? "Brute force, if it's not working, you're simply not using enough."

I would tell you my not so favorite saying while working on my dozer, but it is uttered far more than it should. As a church-going-man I do not take the Lord's name in vain, but a time or two pounding those pins out of the tracks, I might have made a reference to an occupation that was less than lady like.

Oh ****, that bolt/stud just broke instead of loosening; time for more p&p - and another beverage to ease the pain.
